SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER / DIRECTOR

Core Twelve is looking for an experienced Social Media Manager with a business mind and a passion for clever content.  The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing breakthrough social media strategies, campaigns and content to engage and grow the communities for several of our clients.

The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of the social media landscape and a proven record of leading social media strategy and execution - end to end. The role requires experience in community management, social listening, paid media, analytics and reporting, influencer strategy, content, and campaign development.
 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Develop and implement social media strategies for various clients and across multiple platforms
  • Work with marketing, social and creative team members to execute social content
  • Assist with development and execution of daily content calendar/schedule
  • Ensure that social media efforts are fully integrated with all other marketing campaign efforts
  • Work with Creative team and/or 3rd parties to obtain and create new content and assets (photos, videos, etc.)
  • Analyze, review and report on effectiveness of campaigns to show ROI and develop strategic insights and action plans based on results
  • Help determine KPI’s and provide clients with new creative social approaches and tactics 
  • Lead client status meetings and present recommendations per campaign reporting metrics
  • Utilize good judgment in safeguarding clients’ image in social responses and content
  • Manage budgets, implement and report on paid social campaigns – setup audiences, determine creative, monitor effectiveness, adjust and adapt
  • Understand and monitor best practices, trends, methodologies, and technologies/platforms in the ever-changing social landscape
  • Assist in new business development

 

QUALIFICATIONS + EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications, journalism, public relations, or similar
  • 5 to 8 years professional experience in social media and/or content marketing
  • Expert knowledge of social networking channels, including but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, blogging and any other relevant platforms
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why ideas are analytically sound
  • High aesthetic standards
  • Energetic, inquisitive, and collaborative with a great attitude and go-getter mentality
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and prioritize under tight deadlines

FRONT-END WEB DEVELOPER

Core Twelve is seeking an experienced front-end web developer who takes pride in their work and strives to create clean and simple code. You’ll be working closely with our design team, and clients to solve problems and create effective solutions to meet both user experience and business goals.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Building beautiful and accessible websites and interfaces with HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, and PHP.
  • Maintaining and improving front-end code bases across a variety of client websites
  • Collaborating with designers to create engaging and beautiful digital solutions that meet client and user needs
  • Communicate with internal teams and client throughout the entire project, from kickoff through launch
  • Contribute to our team culture through code reviews, contributing ideas, improving processes, and giving and receiving constructive feedback

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • PHP (WordPress)
  • HTML
  • SCSS/CSS
  • JavaScript (jQuery, Vue, Angular, React, etc)
  • Experience with Git
  • Understand basics of SEO optimization
  • Experience developing responsive websites
  • At least one year of experience in front-end development
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies
  • Promote usability best practices

 

IT”S A BONUS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience with WCAG
  • Experience with ecommerce, including Shopify
  • Experience with any of the following: ASP.net, Salesforce, MailChimp, Constant Contact, Azure, AWS, Digital Marketing, Database.
  • Email development experience
  • Web Hosting experience

We're looking for a Social Media / Marketing Intern to work in our Chicago office for the 2019 Winter, Spring or Summer terms. Responsibilities will include performing research, creating unique and engaging social media content, creating implementing and monitoring campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative, employ good judgment and meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and Snapchat
  • Experience with social media analytics is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop is a plus

We're looking for freelance designers to work on-site in our Chicago office. Candidates must have 3–5 years experience and the ability to hit the ground running on a variety of projects.

Tasks may include email, print, and digital layouts, logo design, image retouching, Photoshop scene compositing, and large format file prep. The right candidate is equally comfortable designing based on existing creative or bringing new ideas to the table.
